Enrollment and Registration (2024)

How many preschools can I apply to?

Preschool families have the option to apply for up to five preschools this year.

If my student attended preschool as a 3-year-old last year and is returning to the same preschool as a 4-year-old, do I still need to enroll them?

Returning students: If you have a returning student who attended preschool as a three-year-old, log into EnrollJeffco and complete the prompts for returning students. This must be done within Round 1 of EnrollJeffco, from December 5 to January 12, to ensure your student retains their spot.

If you do not complete this step, you will forfeit your student’s spot.

My student has never attended kindergarten and will be 6 years old before October 1. Can we still enroll in kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year?

Yes, you may apply for kindergarten at the school of your choice.

My 6-year-old attended school outside of Jeffco but we would like to attend kindergarten in Jeffco.

If your child has already attended kindergarten in another district or school, and you would like them to attend again, contact the Jeffco school you are interested in attending directly to begin the process.

What if my student attended kindergarten in Jeffco and I would like them to have another year in kindergarten?

If your child has already attended kindergarten and you would like them to attend again, contact the school directly to begin the process.

I cannot remember my email address, username, and/or password associated with my account. Do I set up a new one or how do I reset my information?

If your student is currently enrolled in a Jeffco school, or has been in the past, you and your student are already in our system. Please do not attempt to create a new account. You will need to use the existing account to ensure that your student’s information (current school, current grade, etc.) is correct.

I am getting an error message stating that I already exist in the system or that my student already exists in the system. What should I do?

Please use these instructions to create a new Jeffco Parent account to access your previous information. If you are “missing a student” from your EnrollJeffco homepage or are getting a “This student already exists” error message, please contact your school or 303-982-2372 to add your student to your account.

Does it matter when I submit my application?

No. All applications submitted in EnrollJeffco Round One between December 6, and 11:59 pm on January 13, 2023 are entered into the lottery process. The time submitted does not impact your priority or placement in that process.

All applications submitted during round 2 (January 19th, 2023 through August 31st, 2023) are sent offers or placed on a school’s waitlist at the bottom of their priority group in the order the applications are submitted.

How many schools can I apply to?

New this year: There is a limit on the number of applications for families. You can apply to a maximum of three schools outside of your projected school. Preschool families have the option to apply for up to five preschools.

Please note: For students in grades 6-12 there will be 3 primary (full-time) applications and unlimited secondary (part-time) applications available.

Students applying to Warren Tech are limited to two applications for Warren Tech.

Applying to multiple schools does not impact the lottery process in any way. You can also return to EnrollJeffco and edit your selections at any time.

If I accept an offer to a school, does that impact or remove my application that is on the waitlist for another school?

If you receive one or more offers through the lottery process, you will have 3 days to respond to those offers. You are only able to accept one offer.

Accepting an offer will not remove or change your position for any waitlisted applications. For example, if your student is number 3 on the waitlist at school A, and you receive and accept an offer from School B, your student will remain number 3 on the waitlist at school A.

Accepting an offer does remove the enrollment at any previous school. If you change your mind later, you will need to reapply through the Round 2 application process.

What happens if I accept an offer and decide I want to go back to my neighborhood school?

If you are currently enrolled at a school other than your designated neighborhood school and wish to return to your neighborhood school for the upcoming school year, please submit a round 1 application. You are guaranteed an offer at the end of round 1.

Once an offer is accepted, that school becomes your designated school for the next school year. If you decide that you want to change schools and return to your neighborhood school, you would need to submit a Round 2 application through EnrollJeffco. Your application will be processed in accordance with Policy JFBA and would be prioritized but no longer guaranteed.

How does the waitlist work?

Families can view this slide deck to gain a better understanding of what it means to be on a waitlist, why your student’s position on the waitlist may change, and more.
