Fifteen local nonprofit organizations each received $1,000 from Rotary Club of Princeton through its Love Our Community grant program.

Compeer Financial’s Fund for Rural America, the Farm Credit cooperative’s giving program, awarded $242,581 to schools through its Agriculture Education and Classroom Equipment Grant program, including the Bureau Valley and La Moille school districts.

Sixteen awards were given out to teams and individuals during the Shaw Media Illinois Valley Sports Hall of Fame on Thursday at the Auditorium Ballroom in La Salle.
