Well another week has come and gone here on the Outer Banks.On Tuesday the 7th the weather turned sour and remained that way till the 10th on Friday. The Yellowfin Tuna fishing outta Oregon Inlet was still good on the days that they could get out. Surf fishing was your typical hit or miss kinda thing...if you were in the right spot at the right time it was good,....if not it wasn't nothing special. Sounded like several good Drum bites during the week. The bottomfishing and King Mackeral fishing outta Hatteras was great the days that we got out. The Stripers haven't made a showing yet but that should be just around the corner. Here's some shots of what went on this week at Custom Sound Charters. **Off this morning with the Larry Chenick crew. Spent the first part of the morning bottomfishing for Snappers and did fair on them. Spent the last part of the trip trolling for King Mackeral and did OK on them**

Off today with the Larry Chesnick crew again. With a bad forecast and a nervous ocean we fished about 16 miles off the beach for King Mackeral. In the end the weather got rugged enough that we had to bail,..but we bailed with our limit of Kings

This catch was on Friday and the Ocean was beautiful. Triggerfish,Seabass,Snappers and we released several Amberjacks and Barracudas

This was the catch off of the "LITTLE CLAM"....the charterboat my son Patrick Caton runs. He had Seabass,Triggerfish,Tilefish,Grouper,Snappers and a Wahoo!!

This was a hitch hiker that landed on a rod while trolling 23 miles off of Hatteras | ||

That's a great picture! It never ceases to amaze me the birds that you see "out there." Here's some that kept flying around the last time we were out with Patrick. They were beautiful and they kept acting like they wanted to land on the boat or the tower somewhere. I looked it up and found out it's name- it's a White-tailed Tropic Bird. Pretty cool stuff. | ||
