I began Strayer in early 2020 when my son was 4 months old. In the beginning, it was easy to take an hour or two every now and then during the week and complete some assignments. However, once I got into the actual accounting courses, I realized I needed to dedicate more time and focus to finish assignments on time & pass courses. I did find that each class is taught differently. Some professors interacted with weekly zoom meetings, posted video lectures, and checked in with students. Some professors only posted the weekly assignments and posted grades. Since I did my work mostly on week nights and weekends, I didn’t get to reach out as much when I needed assistance. Although there were some rough patches, I finished with a 3.33 GPA & landed a government job in my field shortly after graduation. My best tips are to set aside time each day to work on assignments, even if it doesn’t get finished in that sitting & reach out when you need assistance.

My experience at Strayer University has been rewarding and amazing since my first day! All of my professors have been extremely helpful and fully engaged with myself and my peers. I thought that I would be so scared going back to school, but my personal experience has been wonderful.

This is my first year at Strayer and I'm finishing up my Spring Quarter heading into Summer Quarter which has went by pretty fast. I am enjoying everything about Strayer University and I look forward to earning my BBA with pride and dignity!
